Americans overwhelmingly agree that it is simply wrong to force workers to join or pay dues to a labor union as a condition of employment. Yet special government-granted powers authorize union officials to force their so-called “representation” on workers who don’t want it, and then in many instances force the same workers to pay up or be fired.

These coercive powers and others give Big Labor bosses an outsized influence that corrupts our political system, undermines economic prosperity and infringes on the individual rights of millions of Americans.

The National Right to Work Legal Defense Foundation has been providing free legal aid to workers victimized by union boss coercion since 1968. To learn more, make sure to sign up below for a complimentary subscription to Foundation Action, the Foundation’s bi-monthly newsletter.
