Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis's last job was at Big Labor-front group American Rights at Work. To commemorate the union bosses' newfound friendliness with top White House politicos, we decided to put together a short video on the Obama Administration relationship with Big Labor:
The Right to Work Foundation continues to work tirelessly to promote greater transparency at the Department of Labor. Unfortunately, the root of the too-close-for-comfort relationship between union bosses and the White House can be traced back to Big Labor's many government-granted powers. Until we're able to roll back these union boss privileges, the White House will remain a favored destination for Big Labor bosses.

I used to drive bus for a county public transportation service. It was unionized by the Teamsters. I refused to join the union but had to pay the dues. There is a law that says I could get a refund of that portion of dues paid that were used by the union for political purposes during the year. I wrote a letter to the Teamsters office in DC requesting a refund of that portion of my dues paid to them. I received a letter in return stating that they had not spent any money for political purposes that year. It was worth the cost to see that they are what I knew to begin with-a lying bunch of thieves.

I am very concerned about the strong connection between Big Labor and the White House and Congress. The National Right To Work organization does a good job of keeping us informed and I agree that there must be more transparency and fewer “behind closed door” deals with the Labor bosses. I have been a supporter of the NRTW for many years. My support consists only of small, yearly donations, but I hope that the combined contributions of all small donors adds up to meaningful support.
We need to help Independents and Moderates and even many Conservatives understand the risk posed by the heavily socialist, anti-democratic, and power hungry orientation of Big Labor.
Unfortunately, I find myself taken back by some of the poorly written comments I find on this page. Some of these comments are sure to be counterproductive in that objective people with a desire for making fact based decisions will find these statements to be offensive. For example, even if I believed that President Obama were a racist I am not aware of any facts that would give strong support to that belief. Regardless, race is not the issue on these pages. Labor’s extremen and heavy handed, power hungry, socialist agenda is the issue. Please stay focused people. Also, it might help if you use “spell check”, before posting your comments.
Remember, others do read what you write, so make the most of your opportunity to show your support without making statements that will turn-off a lot of people who might otherwise contribute time, money, and their vote.

I couldn't agree more with "Concerned." Case in point, I was about to forward this link, primarily for the video, to a few of my like-minded Conservative/Independent friends...until I read some of the "poorly written comments." And yes, it would have been counterproductive had I sent it to some of these sensible and rational thinking individuals. Several of the comments would have turned them off and thereby defeated my purpose for introducing them to this forum. Please, let us not insult the intelligence of other concerned Americans. I too believe Obama is a tragedy for this country, but let's let the facts-versus-rhetoric speak for itself. It is appalling how legitimate dissent is now misrepresented by many of the people who once said "dissent is patriotic". I’m not saying that you said that, but it was a big talking point for years and now it has been quickly forgotten, only to be replaced by smears such as yours.
