{"id":872,"date":"2012-05-01T11:37:50","date_gmt":"2012-05-01T11:37:50","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2016-08-09T16:31:47","modified_gmt":"2016-08-09T16:31:47","slug":"civil-servants-appeal-wisconsin-public-sector-unionism-case-to-federal-appeals-court","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nrtw.org\/es\/news\/civil-servants-appeal-wisconsin-public-sector-unionism-case-to-federal-appeals-court\/","title":{"rendered":"Civil Servants Appeal Wisconsin Public-Sector Unionism Case to Federal Appeals Court"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/i\/newsrelease.png\" style=\"padding-left: 60px\" alt=\"News Release\" width=\"457\" align=\"middle\" border=\"0\" height=\"48\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"\/en\/press\/2012\/05\/civil-servants-us-appeals-court-05012012\" title=\"Civil Servants Appeal Wisconsin Public-Sector Unionism Case to Federal Appeals Court\">Civil Servants Appeal Wisconsin Public-Sector Unionism Case to Federal Appeals Court<\/a><\/h2>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center; font-style: italic\">Workers ask court to uphold reform measure protecting most Badger State public workers from forced unionism<\/h3>\n<p><b>Madison, WI (May 1, 2011)<\/b> \u2013 Three Wisconsin public employees have asked a federal appeals court to uphold all of Governor Scott Walker&#8217;s public-sector unionism reform measures, known as \u00abAct 10,\u00bb in the latest development regarding the ongoing court saga.<\/p>\n<p>With free legal assistance from the National Right to Work Foundation and the Wisconsin Institute for Law &#038; Liberty, Pleasant Prairie English teacher Kristi Lacroix, Waukesha high school teacher Nathan Berish, and trust fund specialist at the Wisconsin Department of Employee Trust Funds Ricardo Cruz filed their appeal late last week supporting the reforms which limited government union officials&#8217; monopoly bargaining power over public workers and taxpayers.<\/p>\n<p>All three Wisconsin civil servants want to exercise the freedom to represent themselves with their employers.
