As the <i>Examiner<\/i> <a href=\"http:\/\/campaign2012.washingtonexaminer.com\/blogs\/beltway-confidential\/survey-right-work-states-best-business\">notes<\/a>, America&#8217;s job providers overwhelmingly favored states with Right to Work laws.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nOf course this should come to no surprise.  The results of DCI&#8217;s survey <a href=\"\/en\/blog\/surprise-suprise-right-work-states-top-cnbc-b-07152010\">largely mirrors<\/a> that of CNBC 2010 &quot;Best for Business&quot; list, in which states with Right to Work protections for its workers were ranked seven of the top 10 and 10 of the top 15.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nBut despite the economic benefits business enjoy from Right to Work, the real beneficiaries are America&#8217;s independent-minded workers. As the National Institute of Labor Relations Research (NILRR) has found time and again, workers and their families benefit immensely from Right to Work protections: from <a href=\"\/en\/blog\/new-study-shows-right-work-states-enjoy-highe-11152010\">higher incomes and purchasing power<\/a> to an increased likelihood of sending their children to college and <a href=\"\/en\/blog\/families-benefit-from-right-work-laws-10232009\">having private, employment-based health insurance<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nAnd most important of all, workers in Right to Work states get to exercise their <a href=\"\/en\/blog\/right-work-fundamental-freedom-07152011\">fundamental freedom of association<\/a> &#8212; a quintessential\u00a0American value supported by 80 percent of Americans and even <a href=\"\/en\/press\/2010\/11\/luntz-union-member-poll-11012010\">80 percent of union members<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\nAs <a href=\"http:\/\/campaign2012.washingtonexaminer.com\/blogs\/beltway-confidential\/survey-right-work-states-best-business\">reported<\/a> on the <i>Washington Examiner<\/i>&#8216;s &quot;Beltway Confidential&quot; blog, Development Counselors International (DCI) recently asked corporate executives and representatives which states they thought were the best to locate for business.
