{"id":3014,"date":"2012-04-06T08:59:30","date_gmt":"2012-04-06T08:59:30","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2016-08-09T16:32:50","modified_gmt":"2016-08-09T16:32:50","slug":"cleaning-service-union-sweeps-workers-rights-under-the-rug-0","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nrtw.org\/es\/news\/cleaning-service-union-sweeps-workers-rights-under-the-rug-0\/","title":{"rendered":"Cleaning Service Union Sweeps Workers\u2019 Rights Under the Rug"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Boston, MA (April 6, 2012)<\/b> \u2013 Workers caught in a battle between a local union and Lynn-based Complete Cleaning, Inc. are fighting back.<\/p>\n<p>With free legal assistance from the National Right to Work Foundation, Jairo Hernandez of Lynn filed federal charges against Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 615 after union officials claimed to have monopoly bargaining privileges over the workplace with only a handful of signatures from workers supporting the union.<\/p>\n<p>Hernandez filed the charges for himself and his coworkers with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) regional office in Boston.<\/p>\n<p>SEIU Local 615 officials claim monopoly bargaining privileges over Complete Cleaning&#8217;s workers even though workers nearly unanimously oppose the union hierarchy in their workplace.
