Si renuncia a su membres\u00eda, es posible que no pueda participar en las elecciones ni en las juntas del sindicato, votar en elecciones para la ratificaci\u00f3n de negociaci\u00f3n colectiva o participar en otras actividades&quot;internas&quot; del sindicato.  Si renuncia, el sindicato no lo puede aplicar medidas disciplinarias por cualquier conducta posterior a su renuncia. <\/p>\n<p>Si renuncia a su membres\u00eda, a\u00fan queda amparado por el convenio colectivo laboral que se ha acordado entre su empleador y el sindicato, y el sindicato est\u00e1 obligado a representarlo.  Cualquier prestaci\u00f3n que su empleador le otorgue en conformidad con el convenio colectivo laboral (por ejemplo, salario, antig\u00fcedad, vacaciones, pensiones, seguro m\u00e9dico) no estar\u00e1 afectada por su renuncia.  (Si el sindicato ofrece algunas prestaciones &quot;\u00fanicamente para miembros&quot;, es posible que se le excluya de recibir las mismas.)\n<\/p>\n<p>\n<b>La Fundaci\u00f3n ni lo alienta ni lo desalienta a renunciar. Le decisi\u00f3n es solo suya.<\/b>.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nSi decide renunciar y dejar de pagar cuotas, y autom\u00e1ticamente le &quot;descuentan las cuotas de su sueldo,&quot; deber\u00eda de notificarle al sindicato y a su empleador por escrito que est\u00e1 renunciando y rechazando su autorizaci\u00f3n para que autom\u00e1ticamente le descuenten las cuotas de su cheque. Aunque puede renunciar a su membres\u00eda en cualquier momento, es posible que se le limite a un &quot;plazo&quot; determinado antes de que pueda terminar con los descuentos autom\u00e1ticos de cuotas.
