Good point! BHO knows exactly what he's doing, partially demonstrated by his selection of cabinet nominees (of which a few who have unsettled tax matters). He's looking out for his own interests and as a "boss" he'd find it more appropriate and beneficial to side with the union bosses. What else is to be expected of a Democrat?
