Unions
As best as I can understand, there are two main issues that have brought on this current Depression:
1 Irresponsible lending in the housing market.
2 Unreasonable costs and corruption caused by Unions.
Two Questions:
a. When will fiscal responsibility be restored in the housing market by law?
b. And when will we outlaw unions that cause American goods to be unreasonably high priced in the global market?
Now, I hear that even the US Post Office is wasting large sums of money because of Union inefficiency.
Unions in America
The Unions in America are nothing but money scavengers in the pockets of workers taking their money and using it for unworthy reasons and they should be absolutely cut of and out lawed.
The United States Postal,Office should be sold to a private company that could straighten it out and make a profit center out of it. It never will make profit until the Federal Government is out of it totally.
Our Congress and Senate are doing nothing but fattening their own pockets off of our tax money. That is why Social Security is in bad shape because the feds have put the proceeds into a general fund so it can be spent by THEM.
Our government is totally out of contact with the tax paying American Citizens of this country.
Government
We need to redo the government. We need to get rid of them all, and elect back senators that we can trust in. Also need a contract with them that in any bad press or caught in any compromising situations they can be removed and any monies that were stolen or used wrongly that they would have to repay.
US Postal Service
Get the Government the hell out of the Postal Service, and the American People's Face
Unions
In years past, Unions helped depressed workers improve their lives through better pay and safer working environment. The Unions I best remember are Coal Miners Union. John L. Lewis was a big personality in making demands for this dangerous occupation.
Greed grew in the Unions and the big bosses became gansters. They made more and more unreasonable demands. Many Companies were broken to the point of bankrupcy. Communist were discovered among some Unions, about 40 or 50 years ago. We fought the Korean Conflict (War) against Communist. The Berlin/Wall/Airlift associated with the Berlin Crisis was only the tip of the ice-berg of the "Cold War." Viet Nam was all about Communist oppression of a small country. Freedom loving Americans gave their lives to protect us from evil Communist take over.
Today, Communist, Socialist, Unions have joined together to take our country from within. To our peril, we have become too tolerant of Socialism and Communism. These evil "Robinhoods" are stealing from the "haves" and giving small portions to the "have nots." The economy is only a distraction to keep us busy, while the unconstitutional segments (Czar System)are planted inside our government.
As this treachery progresses our country becomes weak and our enemies take advantage of us. Solution? An American born President, who stands for our original Constitutional values.

Unions
I agree with you 100%. I work in the public sector and am a captive in a state without Right to Work laws. Can't understand how this happened, but I have recently 'awakened' to what is happening all over this country in government. Now I understand what is going on here and why I am not allowed to walk away from my union. When our group became certified for union membership a representative came around to personally meet with each employee. We were given pie in the sky dreams and, of course, the union was portrayed as a savior against employer abuse. We really did much better at the hands of the employer than we have ever experienced with the union. Now, even if I resign I have to pay maintenance fees for union activity. Many of my co-workers expeniences with this union have been disappointing at best. The union does not recognize most of us and responds begrudingly with lukewarm support in real management disputes. But far worse is the use of union dues in support of politial lobbyism and pressure on members to vote for candidates of the union's choice.
I am preparing to resign from this union, but want to make sure I won't be singled out with my employer, since these kinds of laws could only be passed in a state with a liberal bent. This state has shown more of a 'fold-over' than a 'bent', I'm afraid, and especially in a public sector job it could be an unfortunate choice to go against the union.
Union Infilrated by Communists
Thanks for your post; very well put.
I'm from Southern Illinois. There was a book written I read about 20 years ago called "Bloody Williamson Country"; Paul Angle wrote about the Soviet infiltration of the United Mine Workers as early as the 1920. The Soviets were hired by the coal companies because of the Bolshevik Revolutionaries were experts in strike breaking.
In 1922 the Herrin Massacre occurred and 19 scab laborers were killed by UMW members.

Mr. Kirksey,
It was refreshing to read your comments---please continue to make a loud noise as you sound like you know what you're talking about. I'm going to start w/becoming active in stenghtening a young republicans club nearby. How can our country be so bamboozled?
